Light takes
form
Light takes form emerged from a personal journey with the Tanya, written by Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi, founder of Chabad Hasidism, from whom I am descended. Through an exploration of the relationship between the human soul, light and matter, I sought to understand how we can become vessels that receive light and abundance and give them form in the world.

The work
Light does not disappear.
It simply changes form.
Like the moon, we are constantly changing. Our capacity to receive light may shift, but the potential always remains within us. The work explores our ability to receive light, hold it, reflect it and pass it on. Listening is how we open ourselves to this light: listening to another person, to nature, to rhythm and to what is waiting to emerge. When we are fully present, we do not simply perceive the world. We enter into a relationship with it.
Visual & material language
Listening to the rhythm of nature.
Points of light connect, expand and transform, creating a multidimensional experience in which the boundaries between light, matter and nature begin to dissolve. Inspired by the cycles of the moon and movements of expansion, contraction and renewal, the work invites us to observe nature as a living system, constantly responding to light, time and subtle changes. Through this movement, light emerges as an element connecting all things, inviting us to move in sync with the life around us, rather than simply trying to control it.
